Review Highlights

"a truly creative and highly organic feel...In conclusion, this is a flamboyant percussive showcase crammed full of highly usable and superbly musical material which would fill a place in any sample user's CD rack like a long-lost friend. 5 Stars" - SOUND ON SOUND, JUNE 2000.

"The loops here would I feel give an excellent underpin to a track...There is a whole range of instrumentation used with all sorts of varied presentation, very much with a live vibrant feel to them...This collection will appeal to most anyone who is looking to add a slightly unusual percussive element to their music..."

Contents

Hundreds of grooves performed in Miles' unique style - complete with multiple versions and breakdowns that isolate particular instruments. A large proportion of the loops also feature full, specially recorded drum parts are well so you won't need to hunt for a loop that matches your percussion if you don't want to. Tempo ranges from 51-175 bpm and there's also a 'Blown Up!' section with such creative processing that you won't believe you're listening to percussion at all.

Miles' unique off-centre percussion with a commercial edge has won him many admirers. His influences are as diverse as Weather Report and Miles Davis through to Prince and Hip Hop. He has worked with many leading artists including Sting, Steps Ahead, Tina Turner, Robert Palmer, Gabrielle, Joan Armatrading and many more! He's always delighted to hear how his loops are being used so feel free to mail us if you're using them - he was most tickled to hear a loop from ROL1 on a Channel 5 soft core friday night film!
