The Sound Room is run by composer / producers Tom Fox and Marshall Smith both and is based in Auckland New Zealand with two relaxed studios in Devonport (North Shore) and Herne Bay (Central).

As well as music composition and production for film, television, documentary, advertising, games and other media The Sound Room also writes and produces music for artists and bands.

The team has composed and produced music for documentaries for the BBC, Animal Planet, BSkyB, Channel 10 (Australia), TVNZ, TV3 and SABC (South Africa) amongst others.

Their tracks have been featured in the USA, UK and Europe on channels like MTV, Nickelodeon, VH-1, Discovery and Fox.

They have composed music for advertising, games, ringtones and animation for clients such as Mobil (SA), Crown Lager (SA), Metropolitan Life (SA), United Travel, The Globe Theatre (UK), The Edge, Cirkus Animation, Pixelthis and Vodafone.
